Religious Education
The Principal aim of RE in Derbyshire schools is to enable pupils to participate in an on-going search for wisdom, through exploring questions raised by human experience and answers offered by the religions and beliefs of the people of Derbyshire and the wider community, so as to promote their personal development.
At Eureka we encourage children to question and investigate: within RE children develop these skills so that they are able to become reflective and curious about the world around them. By studying different faiths and beliefs, so that they learn and are informed about religious belief both in the UK and the wider world, they become curious, learn to empathise, listen and make links that allow them to reason and debate the way others live.
