Welcome to Eureka Primary School!
We are a wonderful small school in the heart of our community in south Derbyshire. Eureka is a vibrant place that seeks and nurtures the talent in all, where everyone reaches their full potential. We are a great team who believe it is an entitlement to equip every child, regardless of background or ability, to be the best they can be. Our school is a happy place where children feel safe, happy and comfortable; showing kindness, respect, empathy and tolerance towards one another. Each and every one of us has high expectations in teaching, learning and behaviour, ensuring we all make progress and succeed. We have a real passion and love of learning: knowledge, skills, understanding, questioning, discovering, smiling, having fun and enjoying those ‘eureka’ moments are all celebrated!
We are very proud of Eureka Primary School and our website is full of information for you and showcases what we get up to here – enjoy having a look! There is also key information on here such as safeguarding, which is a golden thread through everything we do, as well as behaviour, curriculum and class pages.
You are more than welcome to come and visit us.

Ofsted January 2023: Eureka Primary School continues to be a good school.
One parent captured the views of many and wrote, 'Eureka is a lovely school with a real community feel'. Staff have established a strong, inclusive ethos. Pupils enjoy coming to school. They feel happy and safe. One pupil enthusiastically said: 'I don't like it here, I love it!'. Relationships are positive.
